    CD's as Trade Show Giveaways
    Participating at trade shows is a very valuable way for small companies to get there product in front of tens of thousands of people in just a few days time. Statistics show that key decision makers frequent Trade Shows. This is an inexpensive means for CEO’s, Purchasing Agents, and Engineers to keep up with industry news, products, and developments. This helps ensure they do not fall behind their competitors with industry knowledge.



    One main question often arises when participating in a trade show and that is how we best present our material to prospective clients. The obvious answers are very important and include having a professional looking booth and a knowledgeable staff on hand. While these things are great, what is going to make that visitor remember your company when he or she goes home that evening? More often than not, the answer is an item that is given away from your booth. While gimmicky items can offer some attraction, they typically do nothing to remind the potential customer of your company down the road. In fact, these items are often given away to their kids or even thrown away. A company CD is the most effective trade show giveaway that exists.

    Many different resources can be put on a trade show CD. Some of the more effective items are cut sheets, product catalogs, or even videos or product demonstrations. A prospective customer will likely keep this CD to use it for reference later down the road, thus you have direct marketing in front of their face. When they have questions, they will likely turn to you for answers.

    Another very effective resource to put onto trade show CDs is a widget of some sort. A widget is defined as a useful device for the user. This could be some sort of software or formula calculator. Simply put, it is a software device that yields some usefulness for the user. This helps ensure the CD that is handed out is kept for long term, yet again ensuring that your company name stays in front of them. Now that is smart marketing!

    Trade Show giveaways are a very effective marketing tool. Utilizing CDs as giveaways helps ensure that your company name stays with prospective clients long after the trade show has ended. Now it is up to you to decide what type of information will be most useful to your users.
